We primarily focus on the three prime areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework:

  • Communication and language

  • Physical development

  • Personal, social, emotional development

These areas are very important as a foundation to enable your child to flourish in the specific areas of:

  • Literacy

  • Mathematics

  • Understanding the world

  • Expressive arts and design

During free flow time, children have many opportunities to be independent with their learning. We provide a variety of enriching resources and activities for your child to explore. We are very lucky to have a large outside area where children can take their learning outside. We plan activities from the interests of children. This is to maintain the curiosity and love of learning from children.

We have a daily session of Penpals for Handwriting. This is instrumental to help with children’s gross and fine motor skills. We teach Phonics daily, using activities from the Letters and Sounds document. We teach Mathematics daily, using activities from the White Rose guidance and other brilliant websites. Every Friday, we have a Jigsaw session which “integrates emotional literacy, self-regulation of behaviour, social skills and spiritual development”. We are very passionate about supporting children and giving them the best, high quality education.
